From 6 to 10 May 2025, the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković”, hosted an international summer school as part of the EU-funded project FORTIC – From remains Of the war to the aRchiTecture of peace in cross-border area of Italy-Croatia.
The programme brought together 40 students and 4 professors from the University of Pula (UNIPU) and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE) with the aim of fostering cross-border collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, and joint work focused on cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and the adaptive reuse of fortifications.
The summer school was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Students, Educational Programs and Cooperation at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Assoc. Prof. Ksenija Černe, Ph.D., and the Vice-Dean for International Affairs and Business Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Dean Sinković, Ph.D., MBA, who welcomed the students and professors and wished them a successful week.
