The graduate study programme Tourism and Development enables students to acquire specialized knowledge and skills necessary for working across all segments of the tourism industry.
Global tourism trends impose a new way of understanding tourism. People participating in tourism flows today are increasingly experienced and express a growing number of needs—not only within the destination but also throughout the journey to the destination. The global tourism market has never been more dynamic and demanding, requiring an ever-increasing number of highly educated professionals in the field of tourism.
The graduate study programmes Tourism and Tourism and Development are delivered in a modern and dynamic way, enabling students—through an integrated teaching process—to become familiar with and actively engage in real business processes in tourism. Teaching is conducted through lectures, seminars, and practical exercises. This concept is based on teamwork and an individual approach, which facilitates the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and its application in the real business environment. Classes are held in modernly equipped lecture halls and offices using the latest technology and are conducted in small groups, allowing the development of each student’s individual interests.
The programme is aligned with similar programmes offered at universities across Europe and is recognized within the Bologna Process system. This allows students to complete part of their studies at a European university, as the programme is fully recognized.
Upon completion of the Tourism and Development programme, students have opportunities for employment in a wide range of attractive positions, not only in Croatia but also in companies worldwide. They are qualified to independently perform tasks in both the public and private sectors, as well as in many other roles requiring competencies in tourism and economics.
People are the foundation of success in tourism!
