The Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” offers three university specialist study programmes. Upon completion, students are awarded the academic titles: University Specialist in European Integration, Regional and Local Development (spec. oec.), University Specialist in Human Resources and the Knowledge Society (spec. oec.), or University Specialist in Services Marketing (spec. oec.).

Our university specialist study programmes include:
1. European Integration, Regional and Local Economic Development
The aim of this programme is to provide participants with contemporary knowledge about various aspects of the European Union, with a particular focus on:
- regional and local development
- opportunities for accessing EU funds and programmes
- corporate social responsibility
- public-private partnerships in the EU
- the EU labour market
- EU company law, etc.
The goal is to equip participants with a broad range of knowledge necessary for working in the EU single market.
Who is the programme intended for?
- Candidates working or wishing to work in the EU market
- Candidates employed or seeking employment in Croatian public institutions, civil society organizations, local and regional authorities, agencies, chambers, and businesses cooperating with EU institutions
- Candidates involved or interested in regional and local development projects in Croatia or the EU
- Entrepreneurs and business professionals seeking deeper knowledge for operating in the European market
2. Human Resources and the Knowledge Society
The aim of this programme is to provide participants with fundamental knowledge in human resource management and strategic management, as well as specialized knowledge in business ethics, labour law, the impact of digital business on HR, strategic accounting, managerial skills, and employee engagement management.
Participants will gain insights into the impact of the knowledge society on innovation, the labour market, mobility of people and capital, and technology policy. They will be able to apply this knowledge in daily business practice, particularly in working with individuals, as well as in more complex HR management analysis tasks.
Who is the programme intended for?
Candidates with or without work experience who have completed prior studies and wish to further specialize in HR management, strategic management, and the transformations brought by the knowledge society
3. Services Marketing
Upon completion of this programme, participants will acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for independently planning, managing, organizing, and controlling marketing activities, especially in service organizations. They will be able to manage marketing processes in accordance with the specific characteristics of different service industries and perform complex, creative, and professional tasks, including participation in scientific and professional projects.

Professionals from practice as well as individuals wishing to enhance their marketing knowledge
Graduates of any field (economics or non-economics)
What do participants gain upon completion?
Participants acquire the competencies needed for independent marketing management, particularly in service sectors across both profit and non-profit organizations. They will be qualified for complex operational and managerial roles, as well as for participation in scientific and professional projects.
Programme structure and dynamics
The programme is designed flexibly: in addition to six mandatory courses covering the entire marketing process, participants choose three elective courses based on their interests (e.g., customer relationship management, consumer behaviour) or industry specifics (tourism, banking, insurance, non-profit sector, public administration, etc.). The programme concludes with the preparation and defense of a final specialist thesis.
Guest lectures by distinguished professionals from practice are also organized as part of the programme.

- The programme lasts one academic year (two semesters).

- The tuition fee for the Services Marketing specialist programme is €2,655.00 (payable in 3 instalments).
