On Friday, 16 January 2026, second- and third-year undergraduate students of the Business Economics program visited the European Commission Representation in Croatia and the European Parliament multimedia centre “Experience Europe” in Zagreb.
At the European Commission Representation, the students attended a joint lecture by Ms. Andrea Čović Vidović, Deputy Head of the Representation, and Ms. Lena Perdijić, Head of Communications, Partnerships and Networks, on the achievements of the European Commission in 2025 and its priorities for the current year. The students showed great interest in the practical division of competences among the key political institutions of the EU, as well as in the “weight” of the European Commission in the process of shaping European policies. A particularly valuable part of the lecture was the presentation by the current so-called “Blue Book” trainee at the Representation, who gave the students a closer insight into this highly desirable training opportunity during their studies. After a short break, the students visited the European Parliament multimedia centre “Experience Europe”, where, following a brief expert-guided tour, they had the opportunity to learn about the complexity of the European Parliament’s responsibilities. Through a multimedia experience and a guided role-play activity, they experienced what a demanding working day of a Member of Parliament looks like during the period of adopting legislation aligned with the goals of the European Commission.
The visit was organized as part of the activities of the European Documentation Centre operating at FET and the Centre for European Research, and the students were accompanied by Professor Ines Kersan-Škabić, PhD, and Professor Marta Božina Beroš, PhD.
