TESTEAT Project: Workshops on the Circular Economy, Digital Skills, and Intangible Enogastronomy

Within the framework of the TESTEAT project, educational workshops were held at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” on January 14, 15, and 19, 2026. These workshops addressed contemporary topics shaping the future of enogastronomy, sustainable development, and digital transformation.

The workshops covered the following thematic areas:

  • The circular economy and the “zero-waste” concept, emphasizing sustainable resource management and waste reduction in enogastronomy.
  • Enhancement of digital skills to strengthen competencies for modern business practices and communication.
  • Intangible enogastronomy as a key element in preserving cultural heritage and identity.

The sessions were led by Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Iva Slivar, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Tamara Floričić, PhD. Through expertly guided presentations, practical examples, and interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to engage actively and think critically.

Special emphasis was placed on linking theoretical knowledge with practice, as well as raising awareness of sustainability, digital innovation, and the preservation of intangible heritage in enogastronomy development. The workshops provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas, stimulating discussions on challenges and opportunities for the field's future growth.
