Biography

Nataša Urošević is a researcher and lecturer (associate professor) at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, Interdisciplinary Study Programme of Culture and Tourism, where she teaches courses in Croatian and European cultural history, identity and heritage (Cultural History, Cultural Identity of Croatia, European Identity, Cultural Heritage of the Mediterranean, Heritage Management, Special Interest Tourism, Travel Writing and Cultural Routes). She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Padua, Italy as well as  from the Faculty of Economics and Tourism at the University of Pula, Croatia. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, Croatia in 2012. She participated in  EU projects Cultural Heritage Counts for Europe and ADRIFORT - Adriatic Fotresses and Military Areas, as well as projects ArchaeoCulTour, The European Spa as Transnational Space and Social Metaphor and the FORTIC project.- She received the Richard Plaschka Fellowship from the Austrian Ministry of education, science and research for her research project 'Valorization of the common European heritage of Pula as the former main Austrian naval port and Brijuni Islands as an elite resort' as well as the Thesaurus Poloniae Fellowship from the Polish Ministry of Culture for the research project 'Creative Cities – Central European Models of Urban Regeneration'. She was the main organizer of the 2018 Borders and Crossings International and Multidisciplinary Conference on Travel Writing, the conference 500 years of Flacius and co-organized the conference Sustainable Valorisation of Fortified Heritage - European Best Practice as well as the FORTIC international conference. Before working at the University, she worked as a journalist for Croatian newspaper Jutarnji list and in publishing industry for 10 years. She has also working experience in marketing and tourism.
