The Juraj Dobrila University of Pula in cooperation with the FORTIC partnership consortium and international expert networks is organizing the international scientific conference FORTIFIED ARCHITECTURE FOR THE CULTURE OF PEACE – EUROPEAN BEST PRACTICE IN FORTIFIED HERITAGE MANAGEMENT, which will be held in NP Brijuni on 15 and 16 September 2025.
The Organizing Committee is delighted to announce distinguished plenary speakers: Prof. Maria Gravari-Barbas, Paris1 - Sorbonne University; Prof. Donatella Rita Fiorino, University of Cagliari and John Harris, Fortress Study Group, UK.

In two working days, 9 panels will be held, and 38 high-quality papers by 50 researchers from all over Europe will be presented. On the first day of the conference, in the afternoon, an excursion to Mali Brijun with a study visit to the Brioni Minor fortress is also planned.
