The First Cycle of the ARCHAEODIGIT...

Organised by the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula and the City of Kaštela, the first cycle of the training courses “ARCHAEODIGIT – Innovative Skills for the Management and Valorisation of Archaeological Heritage” has officially begun. The programme is implemented within the framework of the project ARCHAEODIGIT – ARCHAEOlogical DIGITal paths for an inclusive and sustainable tourism (Interreg VI-A Italy – Croatia 2021–2027, Project ITHR0200056).

The first cycle of the programme took place on 6 and 7 November 2025 at the City of Kaštela, while the following sessions are scheduled for 13–14 November and 20–21 November 2025.

The training programme, organised through three modules, is focused on developing innovative competences in the field of digital valorisation of archaeological and cultural heritage, as well as sustainable tourism:

  • Storytelling and Digital Technologies (ICT) in the Valorisation of Archaeological Heritage
  • Planning and Management of Archaeological Parks and Sites
  • Financing Projects in Culture and Tourism from EU Funds and National Sources.

The programme is open to young people, students, professionals in tourism and culture, as well as anyone interested in gaining new skills in the field of sustainable development and cultural heritage management. Participation in the programme is free of charge for all selected participants.

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance, while the five most successful participants will be given the opportunity to take part in a transnational placement in Italy in the spring of 2026.

The ARCHAEODIGIT – ARCHAEOlogical DIGITal paths for an inclusive and sustainable tourism project is implemented under the Interreg VI-A Italy – Croatia 2021–2027 Programme and aims to promote innovative, digital and sustainable approaches to the valorisation of archaeological heritage, while strengthening cooperation between Croatian and Italian institutions in the field of cultural and sustainable tourism.
